72 hr. kits

Tonight we started to put together our 72 hour kits. We loaded backpacks up with basic essentials and necessities we would need in case of an emegency and we just had to grab and go. We talked about why we would need these kits and how Heavenly Father has asked that we be prepared. After the lesson and putting the kits together the kids were all pretty excited for a natural disaster to occur so we could use the kits, not really the point of the lesson and activity, but it was fun to do and it is nice to have them:)

They had these great backpacks on sale at Wal-mart for $3 each, Chad got a great glow in the dark GI Joe backpack that he was pretty excited about;)

  1. What a great idea for FHE! Thanks for reminding me that we need to do some. Now you should post a list of all the items you used, so us lazy people can copy yours ;)
